2. Overview
I only process personal data to the extent necessary to operate this website and handle your requests. This website does not use analytics or advertising services and does not set tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from our own server, not from third parties.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is operated on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The servers are located in data centers in Germany. When you visit the website, the server automatically stores information transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time, page accessed, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, as well as browser and operating system.
This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and ensure its security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). It is deleted after 14 days. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.
4. Contacting me
Contact form
If you use the contact form, I process the data you enter (name, email address, optionally phone number and information about your dog, as well as your message) in order to answer your request and, where applicable, arrange an appointment. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation of a treatment contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for general enquiries.
The request is stored in this website’s database and delivered to me by email. Your IP address is not stored. To protect against spam, the form contains an invisible check field; no data is transferred to third parties in the process.
Email and phone
If you email or call me, I also process your details to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
For email I use Microsoft 365 from Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. A data processing agreement is in place with Microsoft. A transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out; Microsoft is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR).
This website contains a link to WhatsApp. Simply visiting the website does not transfer any data to WhatsApp. Only when you click the link and write to me does WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, process your data in accordance with its own privacy policy. Use is voluntary; you can also reach me by phone or email at any time.
Storage period
I delete your request once it has been fully processed, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial or tax law) apply. If treatment takes place, the data becomes part of the patient record and is retained in accordance with the applicable periods.
5. Google Maps
A map from Google Maps can be embedded to show my location. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The map is only loaded when you click on the placeholder. Only then is data such as your IP address transferred to Google, including to the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG), which you give by clicking. If you tick “Always display content from Google Maps”, this decision is stored in your browser in a cookie named “embed-privacy”. You can withdraw your consent by deleting this cookie in your browser. Further information: Google’s privacy policy.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. An informal message to the contact details above is sufficient.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden, datenschutz.hessen.de.
